Method 5

Whew! Is absolutely right. I found flicker and picasa full of beautiful images. I really don't see myself using either one. I'm not much of a photographer and currently these are blocked in our small school library. I could see some value in the public library setting however I honestly cannot see myself ever going to flickr as a source for promotion or any other library applications ever. There seem to be so many other ways to promote books, reading and sharing information with perhaps fewer liabilities.

Easily distracted

As you can see by my two Method 4 posts I'm having a hard time posting on a blog while checking out books at the same time. It gets a little frustrating losing a thought or exactly where I am in the process. As you can see I'm posting this at "O' dark thirty" here at home now. I tried to do it in the evening and the interruptions here were more than my little brain could handle too. Perhaps by Method 12 I'll be a pro and be able to whip out a blog distractions and all.

I chose these blogs and news because they were the few that I check once or twice a week all ready. I do see myself using the RSS once I get in the habit. I'm not sure I like reading them off to the right of the screen. I just need to learn how to make it full screen. Later I guess. The three blogs that I like are posted by people that seem to be positive and loving their lives and families. They also have great recipes that I like to try.

I found these articles on data and clouds of information on the Web so amazing. I love the idea of being able to refocus resources less on storage and software and more on the things we need here in the library. I have to admit that I am still nervous about putting everything out there for anyone to see and letting go of the notion that it is going to be there forever. I think that there are still some weaknesses that were not all addressed in the articles. I still wish I was more computer savvy.

Methods 1 and 2

So sorry I titled my test post Methods 1 and 2. I have attempted to delete it. Hope it worked. I am finding that my lack of knowledge regarding all things computer is such a handicap. I think that all of the information in Method 1, that wasn't over my head, was so exciting. It generated some fascinating dialog and debate here in the library that I absolutely adore.
